Safe Kids, Strong FamiliesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDevelop effective communication procedures with YCW team to ensure all children are accounted and supervised during the shift.Oversee youth care staff and ensure execution of their assigned duties and adherence to administrative and programmatic policies and procedures as directed by program leadership. Report performance concerns and/or problems to program leadership.Ensure proper ratio coverage on shift and communicate any needs or issues immediately to program leadership.Ensure safety, security, and sanitation standards are maintained in all work areas.Converse with client to reinforce positive behavior and promote social interaction and community inclusion.Report and properly document all incidents in a timely manner; prior to the end of the shift or within 4 hours as per ORR Policy on incidents deemed serious incidents including any abuse, neglect, restraints or runawayEnsure that precautions, restrictions and other safety interventions are being properly implemented during assigned shift.Train new staff according to established training plan/program; orient new staff to the facility.Models Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awarenessWork closely with program directors to develop new resident orientation and onboarding plans; assist with the new resident orientationWork closely with the program director to develop new hire training; conduct new hiring when needed.Assist and/or assign YCW staff with the intake process of new client such as orientations and phone calls of new admits.Serve as a positive role model for client and youth care workers by demonstrating professionalism and good judgment.Ensures that assigned shift follows Agency guidelines and policies, monitors staff and records to ensure compliance.Responsible for assigned personnel activities in this program, including, but not limited to:Attend and participates in Agency related meetings and trainings as appropriateMay participate in interview and selection of employeesEvaluation of employee performanceProvides supervision as assignedOversees care, activity and safety of children to include:Assists during transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and one physical location to anotherInteracts with children in an appropriate manner, including games or during recreational timeEstablishes and maintains positive relationships with all childrenMaintains safety, security and supervision of children by maintaining line of site at all times.Provides oversight during recreation, mealtime, relaxing time, and play.Model Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEMust be able to work four, 10 hour shifts (Wednesday-Saturday, 12:30pm - 10:30pm)Education must consist of a high school diploma or equivalent.Must have at least 1-year experience supervising staff.Must have valid Arizona Driver’s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and be able to be added to Agency auto policy.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients.Must maintain all Agency and licensing training and certification requirements.Must have computer knowledge / proficiency such that log notes can been entered as required.Must possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or able to obtain one prior to employmentMust have experience in word processing in a Windows environment.English /Spanish bilingual capabilities required.Strong verbal communication skills with the effective use of tone and wordsExcellent organization skills with attention to detailTime management skills and ability to meet deadlinesDemonstrate the ability to establish trust and a positive rapport with service population Strong writing skills with proficient use of Word, Excel, and OutlookAs a valued member of our team, Child Crisis Arizona will provide youMedical, Dental, and Vision coverageHeath Savings AccountFlexible Spending Account401K with company matchGenerous amount of PTOCalm app Subscription*Actual Pay Rates are based on Education and Experience*Child Crisis Arizona is an Equal Opportunity Employer and has zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment of any kind.
