Empower young learners and play a vital role in their growth as a Full-Time School Psychologist serving elementary students near Edison, NJ. This contract position offers an opportunity to support a diverse student body, work closely with education professionals, and deliver impactful psychological services that help students overcome challenges and thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Valid New Jersey School Psychologist certification
- Experience with elementary students highly preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Outstanding organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review IEPs
- Provide counseling and intervention services to elementary students individually and in groups
- Consult with teachers and parents to support students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based strategies and behavior plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Promote a positive school climate and advocate for the needs of all students
