Quant Strategist (Corporate Treasury) - Vice President

We're seeking someone to join our Quantitative Strategist (Strats) team as a Vice President in Treasury to develop, maintain and operate Treasury related models.In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President position within our Quantitative Strategists Job Family which maintains, implements, develops and documents models for the business units and Treasury.What you'll do in the role:Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the FirmResponsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segmentProactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating themAct as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standardsDeveloping and supporting P&L, Risk, Net Interest Income (NII), Liquidity models, hedge accounting, funds transfer pricing and Monitoring toolsWorking closely with the Business, IT, and model controlWhat you'll bring to the role:Advanced understanding of Treasury, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the divisionAbility to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team membersAbility to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risksPhD/Masters degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or Physics preferredStrong programming skills: At a minimum, this position requires programming in scala, KDB/Q, or C++.Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessaryAt least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
