Job Details Position Type: Substitute Nurse Date Posted: 9/22/2010 Location: School City of Hobart Closing Date: Filled as Needed District: School City of Hobart Position Available Substitute Nurse Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) Responsible To Coordinator of Student Health Services Job Goal To maintain and/or improve the students' and school employees' health status, thereby enabling them to fully benefit from the educational experiences. Performance Responsibilities Assist in the screening programs mandated by Indiana Law. Maintain comprehensive, up to date health records for each student. Give first-aid care for injuries and refer more serious injuries to appropriate person, e.g. school nurse, principal, parent, physician, dentist. Provide care for minor illness. Make referrals as needed to other health professionals. Administer student prescribed medications.
