Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Hyannis, MA
Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Perform comprehensive physical, psychological, and social assessments
• Develop and update individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and nursing documentation
• Function as Charge Nurse when assigned
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and new team members
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and blood/body fluid protocols
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver exceptional patient-centered care

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
• Strong emergency patient assessment and triage experience
• Experience with ventilator care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring

Preferred Certifications:

• TNCC
• ENPC
• PALS
• Approved De-escalation Certification
