Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, serves as the Director of Classification and Compensation and Human Resource Information Systems for the SC Technical College System. Works with the System's classification and compensation program activities to ensure policies, procedures, and state regulations are followed. Responsible for ensuring accuracy of information maintained across data systems (Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Datatel and Banner). Serves as a primary point of contact between the Colleges and the SC Department of Administration Division of State Human Resources (DSHR) on classification and compensation matters. The day-to-day activities include responsible for reviewing and ensuring compliance for human resource transactions, ensuring compensation data is accurate and up to date. Review and approve data received from the Colleges and successfully transmits data to DSHR. Works in concert with DSHR in the scheduling and coordination of the Higher Education Efficiency and Administrative Policies Act (HEEAPA) Delegation annual audits. Works with the Information Technology Services division on the development of programs and reports designed to assist colleges in manipulating specific data and generating reports to include Faculty Record, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, Equal Employment Opportunity, mismatch reporting, workforce planning, Data Warehouse Enterprise Decision Support System etc. Serves as a liaison to the Human Resource Payroll Group and Classification and Compensation Affinity Group to provide guidance and direction on classification and compensation guidelines, procedures, policies, and administrative practices. Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and relevant human resources experience.
Extensive experience in SCEIS and HRIS is preferred but not required. Working knowledge in the areas of classification, compensation, payroll, compliance, and HR data processing systems. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks simultaneously while working with internal and external key stakeholders. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly. Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated supervisory skills.
