Senior Accountant

Job Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a background in manufacturing environments, bringing strong expertise in inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Manage inventory accounting, including reconciliations and adjustments
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation
- Analyze financial results, including variances related to production and COGS
- Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience required)
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost-related processes
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
