Utility Designer - Western Area

Kapur is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our team to provide electric and gas design services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers within the We Energies territory. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed service designs and small distribution plans using MicroStation software. As a Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of gas and electric services to customers while collaborating with contractors and internal We Energies team members. This is a union designer position – as part of the position you will enroll in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 2150. Responsibilities: Utilize the software tool, MicroStation, to create accurate and detailed designs for gas and electric systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Collaborate with builders to understand project requirements and effectively communicate design specifications and progress updates. Effectively document and communicate project updates on a weekly basis to internal team members.
