Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license for the appropriate grade band (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary)
• Compliance with Rhode Island’s Right to Read Act: Already certified in, or able to complete, Structured Literacy proficiency within one year of hire

Responsibilities:

• Support elementary school students with mild-to-moderate disabilities in a Resource/Inclusion role, or lead instruction in a Self-Contained classroom (depending on school assignment)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to design and implement individualized education plans
