Empower students across K-12 settings by providing vital occupational therapy services in a dynamic, travel-based role. This contract position serves multiple school sites throughout Hendry County, offering the unique opportunity to support children’s development, independence, and academic achievement.

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant working with school-aged students, you’ll collaborate closely with licensed therapists, educators, and families to help students participate fully in the classroom and beyond. Flexible, solution-oriented, and passionate about making a difference, you’ll travel between sites as assigned each summer to ensure support where it’s needed most.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license issued in Florida
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred
• Adaptability and comfort with traveling throughout Hendry County (travel required for visiting multiple schools)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Enthusiasm for working with K-12 students across a range of abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising occupational therapist
• Support students’ functional skills, including self-care, fine motor, organization, and classroom participation
• Maintain accurate records of interventions, progress, and communications
• Actively coordinate with educators and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals
• Travel between assigned school locations to provide consistent therapy services
