Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PositionThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and patient education in a collaborative behavioral healthcare environment. This role focuses on whole-person care by addressing the connection between mental health, physical health, trauma, and overall wellness while working closely with a multidisciplinary care team.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessmentsDiagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditionsPrescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications within scope of practiceProvide ongoing medication management appointments and follow-up careEducate patients on psychiatric conditions, treatment options, medications, and wellness strategiesProvide supportive counseling and behavioral health interventions related to mental and chronic health conditionsCollaborate with therapists, case managers, and healthcare providers to coordinate patient careMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient recordsParticipate in treatment planning, quality improvement initiatives, and care coordination activitiesRefer patients to appropriate medical, psychiatric, or community resources as neededQualifications:Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Illinois requiredPsychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification preferredExperience treating children, adolescents, and adults preferredStrong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and integrated behavioral healthcareExcellent clinical, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary teamSchedule:Part-time position Flexible schedule with daytime, evening, or hybrid work options Approximately 20 hours per week, based on availability and patient volumeCompensation & Benefits:Competitive compensation based on experience and credentials Administrative and billing support provided Established referral network and growing patient demand
