Duties

Help

• Oversees the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program for trends, patterns, and overall fitness of the complaints process.
• Develops strategic objectives for the programs, services, and initiatives designed to enhance the recruitment and successful retention of Civilians from diverse and under-represented population groups.
• Advises leadership on systemic problems, policies, and practices that tend to discriminate against and affect selection processes to include the selection process of senior level positions.
• Conducts staff assistance visits (SAV) to assess Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program compliance.
• Conducts studies of human capital diversity related topics including hiring, recruitment, and retention to assess operational baselines
• Analyzes representation of minorities, woman, and individuals with disabilities in all grade levels, pay plans, and career programs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Planning, developing, overseeing Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) projects and studies, 2) Administering diversity and inclusion strategies, initiatives, and policies to increase participation rates of diverse groups; 3) Analyzing representation of minorities, women, and individuals with disabilities in all grade levels, pay plans, and career programs, and 4) reporting all EEO complaints through coordination and collaboration with local EEO office.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Education

• This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. • Direct deposit of pay is required.

• Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
