Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ success by providing speech-language services in educational settings. Two contract opportunities are now available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to provide essential support at elementary and junior/senior high school levels. These positions are instrumental in nurturing growth and communication for students with unique needs.

Role A is based at Wheatland-Chili TJ Connor Elementary and focuses on serving elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum. Role B is located at Wheatland-Chili Jr/Sr High, working with high school students who have intellectual disabilities. Both roles are full-time, Monday through Friday, with start dates as soon as possible and ongoing contracts until internal hires are made.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid SLP-CCC certification and eligibility for New York licensure.
• Background in school-based speech therapy, especially with ASD and intellectual disabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teams and families.
• Experience with IEP development and data-driven therapeutic interventions.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for learners.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services.
• Assess and evaluate students’ needs to develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other professionals to support student progress.
• Provide consultation and guidance to families and staff regarding communication development.
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings as required.
