Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) | Salem, VA Join a leading acute care hospital in Salem, VA, recognized for excellence in cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, behavioral health, and cancer care. We’re seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) to support cardiovascular operating room procedures in a fast‑paced surgical environment. This role includes scrubbing cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgeries, while working alongside an experienced surgical and cardiovascular team in a state‑of‑the‑art Heart Center. $36.61 – $54.91/hour $15,000 Sign‑On Bonus Schedule Full‑time position Day shift with rotating weekends Shift options: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM On‑call rotation required What You’ll Do Scrub and assist during cardiovascular surgical procedures, including open heart cases Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile fields for procedures Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and techniques Maintain the integrity of the sterile field and surgical environment throughout procedures Assist with room turnover and preparation for upcoming surgeries Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia staff, and surgical team members Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues promptly Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection prevention standards What You’ll Bring Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required (or grandfathered per state regulations) Active Virginia Surgical Technologist registration/license required Minimum of 1 year cardiovascular scrub experience required 1–2 years scrub or hospital experience preferred BLS certification required within 90 days of employment Knowledge of medical terminology required Basic computer skills required Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed Why Join Us Work in a respected Heart Center within a 500+ bed acute care hospital Gain experience in cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures Be part of a collaborative, high‑performing surgical team Access opportunities for career growth and advanced surgical experience Bring your CVOR expertise to a team dedicated to surgical excellence and compassionate patient care—apply today! #J-18808-Ljbffr
