Job Description

The ICU Float Registered Nurse position offers exposure to a variety of ICU specialties, including MICU, SICU, Respiratory Special Care, and Surgical Progressive Care. The role requires strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care. The nurse will be assigned to the intensive care units with the greatest staffing need.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing across various ICU specialties
• Utilize strong critical thinking and organizational skills in patient care
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients
• Stay current on best practices and protocols in critical care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York License ONLY)
• Two years of ICU acute care experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
