Job Title: Welder / Fitter

Job Summary

We are hiring a Welder/Fitter to fabricate and assemble structural steel components for construction projects. You will use welding equipment, read blueprints, and ensure all work meets quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld, fit, and assemble structural steel parts

• Perform basic 1G and 2G welds as per AWS standards

• Read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings

• Measure materials using tools like calipers and micrometers

• Tack and weld components for final assembly

• Operate welding equipment (manual and semi-automatic)

• Perform flux core welding (FCAW)

• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Work with team members to complete projects on time

Required Skills

• Experience in welding and structural steel fabrication

• Knowledge of FCAW welding techniques

• Ability to read blueprints

• Familiarity with welding positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)

• Good attention to detail

• Basic measuring skills

Additional Requirements

• Experience in construction or structural steel environment preferred

• Willingness to learn and undergo training

• Good teamwork and communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
