Auto Parts Counter Professional

Report directly to the Store Manager Handle inside sales activity within the store Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner Understand customer needs Locate hard-to-find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals Provide precise quotes and follow up with customers to ensure orders are placed Track lost sales and promote company specials Assist colleagues and foster new sales opportunities Fulfill customer orders for installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships Maintain and promote workplace safety Secure and transfer cash or other assets Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum 3 years in counter sales in a competitive market Preference for wholesale auto parts sales in the aftermarket industry Exceptional phone skills with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone Existing customer base is a plus Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills Passion for exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships General automotive knowledge preferred Results-oriented, producer, closer, and committed to growth Experience with POS systems Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel Strong organizational and time management skills Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, with a "can-do" attitude and tenacity in pursuit of goals Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in counter sales within the automotive aftermarket industry, with a strong focus on customer relationship management, negotiation, and achieving sales goals.
