Tech - Surgical

Job Summary:
Provides essential support in the operating room to assist circulators and surgeons in delivering quality surgical care. Ensures a safe, sterile environment for patients throughout surgical procedures while adhering to strict health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments and supplies as needed during surgeries.
• Monitor and uphold safety and infection control protocols at all times.
• Support the surgical team by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Respond to on-call requirements, including once in the weeknight and every fifth weekend.
• Comply with all relevant State and Federal regulations, policies, and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess a basic understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Previous experience or certification in surgical technology is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Capable of handling on-call responsibilities on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
