Growing together.The Senior Product Manager is a strategic product leader responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for one of Optum Payment Integrity's Professional Claim Review products. These are established, widely adopted products operating at significant scale - which means the innovation you drive reaches the market fast and shows up in real client and financial outcomes, not someday but now.Optum Payment Integrity helps health plans and healthcare organizations ensure claims are paid accurately and fairly, reducing unnecessary medical spend across the full claim lifecycle through a combination of advanced analytics, AI, and deep healthcare reimbursement expertise. You will collaborate closely with other Product Managers and cross-functional teams to advance a unified roadmap and shared vision for building AI-powered solutions that transform healthcare payment integrity.If you thrive on turning insight into impact and working across teams to drive innovation, you'll find your next challenge here.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:7+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, and/or business transformation5+ years of experience in professional claims within payment integrityExperience leading cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders to align priorities and execute strategic initiativesExperience with professional and behavioral health reimbursement methodologies - including CPT/HCPCS and E/M coding; NCCI edits; physician fee schedules (RBRVS); and Behavioral Health-specific payment models, levels of care, and parity requirementsOwn product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery of complex healthcare products or initiatives that improve reimbursement accuracy, coding integrity, provider compliance, with measurable client and business outcomesDemonstrated ability to work with data science teams to define model objectives, evaluate performance, interpret outputs, and translate findings into actionable product features, workflows, and business outcomesDemonstrated ability to partner with engineering, AI/ML, and data science teams to deliver innovative, data-driven capabilitiesDemonstrated success modernizing, repositioning, or transforming an established product through changing market conditions, emerging technologies, or evolving customer needsDemonstrated solid analytical and systems?thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex problems into clear product strategiesPreferred Qualifications:MBA or equivalent experience in business strategy, technology, or product leadershipProduct or Agile certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, or similarExperience leveraging large healthcare datasets, provider analytics, or claim-level data to identify opportunities, measure outcomes, and drive product decisionsExperience leading or mentoring other product professionals, or partnering closely with engineering leaders to deliver outcomes (not just outputs)Experience in U.S. healthcare payment integrity, professional claims, coding validation, reimbursement policy, provider billing, or provider revenue cycle, with a strong understanding of the factors that drive claim payment accuracy, reimbursement outcomes, and provider billing behaviorWorking knowledge of Optum and/or UnitedHealth GroupDemonstrated understanding of how AI, automation, and clinical documentation technologies are changing provider coding, billing, reimbursement, or payment integrity processesDemonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into scalable product solutions and actionable roadmapsDemonstrated ability to use customer insights, market intelligence, and data analytics to inform product decisions and prioritizationDemonstrated ability to communicate product strategy, progress, and impact effectively to executive and technical audiencesDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders to align priorities and execute strategic initiatives*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
