Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical assessments and comprehensive reviews of medical histories.
• Aid in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions using imaging studies and lab result interpretations.
• Work closely with surgical teams to devise and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies for patients.
• Offer intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and efficiently handling surgical instruments during operations.
• Provide exemplary care both before and after surgical procedures, which includes medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education.

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Clinical rotations with a surgical focus are strongly preferred.

Certifications Needed

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• State licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physician Assistant.
