At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $18.85 to $26.41 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

This position floats between Methuen/Haverhill.

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer protects life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. Secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings. Responds to security needs of the hospital personnel, patients, and visitors. Participate in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Experience: Two to five (2-5) years of experience in the field of law enforcement, security operations, or a related field is required. Experience in a health care setting is preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: A current Basic Life Support (CPR) American Red Cross or American Heart Association Provider certification or a CPI certification is preferred.
• Other: Must be able to successfully clear a background check, including a criminal search. Use or possession of a firearm and/or other weapons is prohibited.
