Campaign HR & People Operations Lead

About the Role Talarico for Texas is hiring an HR Manager to join James Talarico's US Senate campaign. This is a full‑time, paid position ideal for a highly organized and people‑oriented professional who enjoys building strong internal systems and team culture. The HR Manager will lead the campaign’s human resources operations and work closely with the Operations Director to cultivate a collaborative, and mission‑driven workplace across the campaign. Responsibilities Lead daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and staff support Manage staff records, internal human resource documentation, and personnel processes Support hiring and recruitment logistics, including job postings, and candidate communication Serve as point of contact for staff inquiries related to policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns Maintain and communicate internal policies, procedures, and staff expectations Support compliance with campaign employment practices and reporting requirements Build and maintain systems that improve human resource organization, communication, and operations across the campaign Qualifications 2+ years of experience in human resources, political campaigns, government offices, operations, or other relevant experience Strong organizational and administrative skills, with exceptional attention to detail Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive political, personal, and confidential information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable with nontraditional hours, reflecting the pace and demands of a statewide campaign Commitment to the mission, values, and success of the Talarico for Texas campaign Reports to: Operations Director Location: Austin, Texas Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 per month Benefits: Health care, paid time off, sick leave Talarico for Texas is an equal opportunity employer.
