Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New Mexico, or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to adapt to various classroom and school environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver direct therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress, and required reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise in student goal setting
- Adapt interventions and strategies to meet a diverse range of student needs
- Stay current with best practices, evidence-based interventions, and continuing education
