Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and communication skills in an educational setting near Corrales, NM. This position focuses on elementary and middle school students, allowing you to build dynamic relationships while making a meaningful difference each day.
With a balanced caseload of 40-50 students and a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, you'll use your expertise in speech-language pathology to help young learners thrive academically and socially. This assignment runs from ASAP until May 28th, offering a defined period to bring your valuable skillset to the school community.
What you'll bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology license (issued by both the New Mexico Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board and the PED Ancillary and Support Services)
- Strong grasp of pediatric and school-based therapy approaches
- Ability to provide services for both elementary and middle school-aged children
- Experience or interest in both clinical fellowship year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) pathways
- Flexibility, collaboration skills, and a commitment to student success
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and delivering targeted therapy to students with speech, language, or communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Supporting proactive parent communication and advocating for best outcomes
