Repair Specialist

Overview As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and support a culture of quality service. You will demonstrate a service mindset, striving to bring unexpected happiness to customers by delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to Safelite standards. Responsibilities Learn to repair vehicle glass (classroom and hands-on) under guidance from experienced technicians and Safelite leaders, following the Safelite Way of Fitting. Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass-related issues on customer vehicles. Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication through Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers where appropriate. Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in the vehicle and shop areas. Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools and chemicals used throughout the workday. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred. Valid state-issued driver’s license (and any other licenses as required by law) to operate a company vehicle. On-the-job training and completion of Safelite SafeTech certification required. Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (assisting with windshields 26–50 lbs), stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist, use hand and power tools safely, operate a motor vehicle, read/write English and interpret technical directions, and communicate effectively (phone and written). Ability to work in varying weather conditions and with chemicals; maintain professionalism and a customer-service mindset; work flexible schedule; problem-solve and troubleshoot; maintain a professional appearance per company standards; and comply with safety and PPE policies. Other: Ability to work scheduled days with flexibility on start/end times; willingness to be monitored via camera/video; comply with local, state, and federal laws. Benefits and Compensation Base pay up to $25.00 per hour, with competitive weekly pay.
