Maintenance Technician

What You’ll Do Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance across multiple commercial buildings. Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Complete work orders electronically using a smartphone; ensure timely and accurate updates. Communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, vendors, and other team members. Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure impacted tenants are notified. Assist with vendor management, including material ordering and onsite oversight. Participate in regular check-ins with property managers to review progress and workload. Create and maintain a monthly maintenance calendar; inspect properties quarterly. Follow safety procedures and implement preventive maintenance programs. Carry and maintain appropriate tools and equipment for daily tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills & Competencies Strong working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance and the past experience using the tools of these trades. Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively. Strong communication and customer-service orientation. Comfortable using modern technology, including mobile apps and cloud-based work order systems. Team-oriented, organized, and capable of working in diverse building environments. Minimum Requirements 3–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Oregon driver's license and commercially insurable driving record. Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment. Proof of auto liability insurance. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening including THC. Availability for occasional overtime and on‑call emergency response.
