Job Description

Job Description

About Data Ninjas

Data Ninjas is a low-voltage and AV integrator based in Fort Myers. We handle structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, access control, and AV for commercial construction projects across Southwest Florida. We're growing, and we need a Lead Tech / Foreman who can run a job without someone looking over their shoulder.

What You'll Do

• Run day-to-day work on commercial job sites: lay out the work, assign tasks, and keep the crew productive and safe
• Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat6/Cat6A copper and single-mode/multimode fiber
• Install and program IP cameras, NVRs, access control panels, readers, and door hardware interfaces
• Install AV systems: displays, projectors, speakers, DSPs, and control systems
• Read construction drawings and specs, and mark up as-builts
• Work with GCs, supers, and other trades on schedule and site coordination
• Train and mentor junior techs and helpers
• Keep job paperwork current: daily reports, material tracking, test results, and closeout docs

What You Need

• 5+ years of commercial low-voltage installation experience
• Has led a crew of 2–3+ techs on commercial jobs
• Copper termination and certification experience (Fluke DSX or similar)
• Comfortable reading construction drawings
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to work on ladders and lifts, and lift 50 lbs

Big Plus

• Fiber termination (fusion splicing and/or mechanical connectors) and OTDR or light-meter testing
• Hands-on CCTV and access control installs
• BICSI Installer 2 or Technician certification
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Manufacturer certifications (Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, Verkada, Brivo, Crestron, Extron, etc.)
• Scissor/boom lift certification

What We Offer

• $28–$45/hr depending on experience. Top of the range for foreman experience and BICSI or manufacturer certifications.
• Company vehicle or vehicle/fuel allowance
• Health insurance contribution
• Company-paid certification renewals
• Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
• Company-supplied tools
• Steady, year-round commercial work across SWFL
• Room to grow into a project lead or supervisor role

The Real Talk

This is a working lead role. You'll be on the tools and in the ceilings, not just directing. Florida heat, early starts, and GC schedule pressure come with the job. If you take ownership of your work and want to help build a solid crew, we want to talk to you.

Apply on ZipRecruiter with your resume and any certifications.
