Senior Systems EngineerPay Range: $84hr - $87hrThe Senior Systems Engineer will develop and implement solutions within the email collaboration environment using best practices. This role supports projects, creates automation, manages integrations, provides technical guidance, and ensures efficient and secure operation of Microsoft 365 and Exchange services in a hybrid environment. The position requires strong expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring junior staff.Requirement/Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Certifications in this field are a plus.Experience:Experience designing and implementing on-prem and cloud-based email and collaboration solutions.Experience managing Exchange and Microsoft 365 platform services in a hybrid environment.Previous IT work lead experience preferred.Previous government IT experience preferred.Responsibilities:Develop and implement new solutions in the email collaboration environment.Participate in projects affecting the email collaboration space.Create automation for routine tasks and special initiatives.Develop and implement integrations with applications and processes.Interface with internal and external stakeholders to obtain project buy-in.Develop and present KPIs and reports to senior leadership.Create and review documentation of systems and processes.Troubleshoot Outlook issues including configuration, delegations, shared mailboxes, Autodiscover, email tracking, meeting errors, delayed delivery, restoration, and archive issues.Troubleshoot Teams issues including sites, channels, app integrations, permissions, calendar issues, and restorations.Manage email archive solutions.Handle client escalations and priority issues.Mentor junior staff in technical areas.Should Have:Hands-on experience configuring single sign-on for SaaS and hybrid applications.Expertise in deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot.Experience securing on-prem and cloud-based email and collaboration services.Skills:Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and solutions.Experience managing directory synchronization into Azure AD.Deep understanding of federation, authentication, SSO, and sync processes.Knowledge of email filtering tools.Expertise in Microsoft Purview and collaboration security.Strong skills in scripting tools such as PowerShell and MS Graph.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Level 3 incidents.Qualification And Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
