Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Bangor, ME. This position requires the candidate to have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist and to hold RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The role involves working in a critical care-focused, protocol-driven environment, supporting adult intensive care units, cardiac critical care, emergency department, intermediate care, and general medical floors. Candidates should be comfortable working with adult patients and have experience with ventilator management, airway management, and ABG analysis. The position offers flexible shift options, including day and night shifts, with a scheduled minimum of 36 hours per week, and every other weekend rotation. Candidates are required to work from the Bangor, ME location and must be prepared to work either days or nights as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Bangor, ME
• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts; 0645-1915 (day shift) and 1845-0715 (night shift); minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Candidate must have at least 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, hold RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification; CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) considered if experienced; Licenses required: RRT (mandatory), CRT (if experienced); Certifications include BLS and NRP (required), PALS (preferred); experience with Oscillator 3100 Sensormatic and Drager ventilators, airway, and ventilator management, ABG analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue and rapid response, inhaled medication administration.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical care settings, familiarity with Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery, and ability to support NICU/PICU/Peds if applicable.
• Additional Information: Traveler may work days or nights based on staffing needs. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Voluntary on-call available: 2 hours before and after shift.
• Equipment Used: Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300 (NICU only).
• Support within Department: Lead/Charge Manager, Assistant Manager, RT Educator, Medical Director.
• Charting System: Cerner.
• Floating: Float to other trained units only.
• Orientation: One general orientation shift with RT Educator plus one shift per unit trained (generally 4-5 shifts).
• Scrub Code: Any professional scrub color or pattern.
• Parking: Free on-site parking.
