Logistics Analyst

Our client, a Global Medical Device Manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Logistics Analyst for a 12-month+ + Contract opportunity . Position Responsibilities Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution analysis Strong knowledge of freight classifications, tariff rates, and transportation regulations Experience with fleet management, including scheduling, maintenance, and carrier coordination Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to evaluate data and make cost-effective, efficiency-driven recommendations Strong understanding of third-party logistics (3PL) and carrier negotiations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of DOT and other regulatory compliance standards is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
