Registered Dietician Perks: Generous BonusesGrowth OpportunitiesHealth BenefitsPOSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the nutritional care of the residents in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established Company policies and procedures, and in coordination with the Director of Dietary Services to ensure that quality food service and nutritional care appropriate to each resident is provided at all times.Location: Greater LA AreaDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior.Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. Provides assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.Reviews the dietary requirements of each resident when admitted to facility and as may be required, and assists the attending physician in planning resident's prescribed diet plan.Develops nutritional plan of care in conjunction with facility interdisciplinary members.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years' experience in acute or long term care environment required; previous experience in multi-facility management preferred; supervisory experience preferred.Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to dietary field, including interpretation and implementation.Excellent knowledge of the aging process and physical, psychosocial and social needs of the long term care resident population with regard to nutrition.Food production management experience and knowledge of MDS process preferred.Registered Dietitian required and licensure where required.Bachelor's degree from accredited college required, preferably in dietetics or related field; completion of state or American Dietetic Association approved training program preferred.BENEFITSMedical insurance with Rx benefitsDental insuranceVision carePaid vacation
