Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Structural Heart Cath Lab Travel Nurse Opportunity

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

Structural heart scrub experience is a must. Do not screen if they do not have it.

The expected start date is based on Novant's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Novant will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Required skills/certs/exp:

• Minimum years of experience: 2 years
• Traveler experience: Unit will accept 1st time traveler
• Locals accepted / rate difference: Yes
• Skills: Scrub, monitor, PA lines and telemetry, structural heart & TAVR experience
• Cath lab procedure experience: Balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left & right heart catheterization, rotablader
• Certs: ACLS, BLS, must have at least one: RCIS or ARRT
• Preferred skills/certs/exp:
• Skills: Circulate, IV start, conscious sedation
• Cath lab procedure experience: Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, filter placement
• EKG settings & experience: Rhythm interpretation

Job details:

• Target ratios: 3 rooms
• Shift: 40 hours
• Will accept 13 weeks!
• 10 hour days 4 x 10-hour days, 07:00 - 17:30; Monday-Friday
• Call requirement: With callback and weekend call required; 9-11 days in a 6-week schedule with 1-2 weekends depending on rotation
• Float requirement: Floating could be required but would be rare
• Weekend requirement: With callback and weekend call required

Special procedures/unit details:

Some of the more complex procedures that we perform in the lab: complex PCI's.

Unit systems: EPIC, MAC Lab

Scheduling type: 10 hour shifts, Monday - Friday
