Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract. This inpatient role is ideal for a pharmacist with solid hospital experience who can step in quickly and work independently with limited training. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with critical medications, IV drips, controlled substances, and quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational pharmacy services in an inpatient setting
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Support safe medication use and patient care
- Work with critical medications and IV drips
- Manage and maintain controlled substances according to pharmacy policies and regulations
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Perform other pharmacy duties as needed
Work Hours
- 13-week contract
- Pharmacy hours: 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong inpatient experience required due to limited training availability
- Experience with critical medications and IV drips
- Quality assurance experience
- Experience handling controlled substances
- EPIC experience is a plus
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited program
