Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring 2 years of EP/Cath Lab experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab within a cardiac hospital setting,
• Perform procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, and pacemaker insertion,
• Perform cath lab procedures such as cardiac implant closure device placement and pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal,
• Utilizes Epic EMR system,
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM,
• Call requirement of 1 week every 2 months,
• Unit accepts first-time travelers,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration,
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Experience with Epic EMR required,
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab procedures required,
• Skills in ACT monitoring, cardioversion, sheath removal/monitoring, and vascular closure systems preferred,
• Experience with ventilator management, IV therapy, and blood product administration preferred,
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; coworker references not accepted,

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity EP/Cath Lab environment supporting complex cardiac procedures,
• Candidates must be prepared to complete Ohio state fingerprinting promptly after signing due to strict timing requirements,
• Former employees eligible for consideration once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more,
• Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible for traveler positions,
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less,
