Oversees calculating, posting and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that staff complies with accounting policies and procedures. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with both in-office work at our El Segundo, CA location and remote work. In this position, you will: Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; resolves problems and identifies system improvements. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Oversees accounting operations, which include financial accounting, general ledger and bank reconciliations. Reviews and understands transaction level accounting, while keeping big picture of the operational information in mind. Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. Protects the company’s value by keeping information confidential and maintaining financial security by adhering to internal controls. Records journal entries and reviews staff journal entries, reviewing for accuracy and compliance with policy and principles.
