Located in Broadview, IL Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 Accounting & Human Resources Manager Broadview, IL $90,000 - $100,000 Annual Salary Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounting & Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing organization in Broadview, Illinois. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, payroll oversight, and human resources support. The ideal candidate will be a structured, task-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can successfully manage multiple priorities while ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and acts as the primary liaison between Accounting, Human Resources, Operations, and Executive Leadership. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Leadership- Manage full-cycle accounting functions from transaction processing through financial statement preparation
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including:
- Profit & Loss (P&L)
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow Statements
- Maintain General Ledger (GL) accuracy and integrity
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis initiatives
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, collections, and cash management
- Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing accounting processes
- Monitor internal controls and accounting compliance procedures
- Generate financial reports, KPI dashboards, and executive-level reporting packages
- Assist with audits, tax preparation support, and year-end reporting activities
- Drive process improvements and accounting workflow efficiencies
- Serve as the primary point of communication between employees, management, and Human Resources
- Support employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and personnel administration
- Oversee payroll processing and payroll reconciliation activities
- Administer benefits programs, PTO tracking, employee records, and HR documentation
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, company policies, and HR best practices
- Support performance management initiatives and employee development programs
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and financial information
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and administrative staff
- Coordinate cross-functional communication between Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Leadership
- Establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, and monitor project completion
- Create structure, accountability, and process consistency across departments
- Support strategic planning, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as a trusted business partner to leadership regarding financial and operational decisions
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience preparing and owning financial statements
