Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to critically ill neurological patients. The successful candidate will possess the skills and expertise to manage complex conditions while ensuring a compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Shift Type: 3x12 or 4x12 by traveler preference

Shift Hours: Nights; 18:45 - 07:15

Block scheduling may be accommodated

The Neuro ICU RN will care for patients with various neurological conditions, such as:

• Ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes
• Post thrombectomy care
• Traumatic brain injuries
• Status epilepticus
• Spinal cord injuries
• Other neurological diagnoses requiring critical care intervention

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage complex neurological conditions.
• Utilize specialized equipment, including intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Neuro experience is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Active AL or Compact License required.
• Must be willing to float to the CCU as needed.
• Weekend shifts (EOW) are required.
• Local applicants must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
