Budget Analyst

Duties
Serves as Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA), Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) and is the subject matter expert for all things related to the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Incumbent monitors and evaluates budget execution for assigned programs and mission areas to ensure funds are executed in accordance with approved Command spend plans, operating budgets and other fiscal requirements.
Incumbent reviews and implements SDDC budget guidance as applicable to facilitate development of both Brigade HQ and battalion level budgets for AOR.
Incumbent identifies problem areas, researches, determines, and implements corrective courses of action.
Incumbent advises GS Brigade Team Analyst of funding shortfalls and excess funds within assigned program areas that are available for reprogramming.
Incumbent analyzes and summarizes historical data to identify trends and to assess funding requirements.
Incumbent verifies and ensures requirements included in budgets are consistent with Command's mission and budget development requirements.
