Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized surgical support as a CST/OR Technician within a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsible for assisting in orthopedic, neuro, and transplant procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols during 48-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by organizing instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist surgical teams during orthopedic, neuro, and transplant surgeries with technical support.
• Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Document surgical activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Respond swiftly to intraoperative needs, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
• Adhere to institutional policies, including flexibility for shift variations and call requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold current CST certification and NBSTA and DORA credentials prior to submission.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital surgical experience.
• Demonstrate experience with orthopedic and joint procedures.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, accountability, and self-direction.
• Have proficiency with Meditech EMR system.
• Possess trauma and Level I experience (preferred).
