Client-focusedEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Consistently ranked as a Top WorkplaceInternal recruitment team, in-house training, and a marketing department specific to our industryWe celebrate flexibility, allowing every team and office to lead with their proven approachOur culture champions continuous learning and personal growthWe believe success comes through constant evolution and communicationWe are passionate about having fun and making money, all while creating impactAs a Sr. Accountant at LJA in our Accounting department, you will be responsible for the general ledger functions of the organization, including reconciliations, month-end and year-end close processes.A typical day might include:Preparing, reviewing, and verifying the accuracy of journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentationMaintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the accounting systemAnalyzing inventory levels, costing, obsolescence, shrinkage, and valuation for financial reportingTraining junior team members, providing guidance and support as neededAssisting with external audit requestsEnsuring compliance with internal control guidelines.Performing financial variance analysisAssisting management with ad-hoc requests, including special projectsPerforming other related duties as required and assignedRequired education/license/certifications:BBA or BS in AccountingRequired qualifications:5+ years of accounting experienceThorough knowledge of GAAPMust be familiar with full cycle accountingExperience with QuickBooks OnlineAccounting experience with an emphasis on inventory or cost accountingExperience with an ERP systemAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in identifying and implementing process improvementsProven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detailRequires initiative based on familiarity with the organization and accounting practices and proceduresAdaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environmentIdeally, you should also have:Experience with BSTExperience with multi-company processing preferredAt LJA, we're 100% employee-owned.
