Senior Human Resources Generalist

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and services to employees and management. This role involves various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, employee-facing benefits administration, and policy implementation. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in promoting a positive work culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering employee engagement within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining paid time off policies within HCM and annually load appropriate paid time off for employees
• Processing all Personnel Change Notices (PCN's), maintaining integrity of data within the HCM system; specifically employee information, job descriptions, job titles, compensation ranges, assigning managers, etc.
• Acting as a resource to employees to handle questions, concerns, or suggestions
• Acting as point person for all data requests, government survey information, EEO-1 reporting, employment verifications, unemployment claims, etc.
• Maintaining positive employee relations and advising management of concerns
• Conducting exit interviews, collecting data, communicating results, and making suggestions for improvement
• Maintaining all emergency response rosters, including evacuation reports and lists
• Responsible for collecting Compensation Surveys obtaining market data and presenting to Director of HR
• Preparing and communicating pay adjustments to Payroll including, bereavement, boot allowances, and safety glasses
• Assisting Director of HR in performance management process
• Assisting with ongoing and ad-hoc training programs and development
• Assisting Director in developing pre-employment testing and implementation
• Assisting with Career progression mapping
• Assisting in maintenance of job description updates
• Maintaining Company Organizational charts
• Assisting in the Open Enrollment process
• Reconciling uniform bills
• Driving company wellness initiatives as they relate to employee benefits
• Inputting monthly training records
• Providing Front Desk coverage as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources department handling a variety of employee concerns, staffing, discipline, and compliance issues is preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
• Strong ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Equipment used: This position will use a personal computer, telephone, fax, and copier.

Working and physical conditions: This position is in an indoor environment located in HR shop office off of the manufacturing shop floor. It will require some walking and standing to interact with individuals on the shop floor and significant time sitting at desk working on a computer.
