Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood, SC, is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and welcoming Church Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to join our team. Operating out of our main campus at 90 Boney Road, Blythewood, SC, this full-time role serves as the central hub of office operations, providing essential clerical support to our pastoral staff, ministry leaders, and congregation.

Salary:

$35,000 – $40,000 annually (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

·        Office Operations: Serve as the hospitable first point of contact for church visitors, answer phones, distribute mail, and manage daily email correspondence.

·        Communications: Gather and coordinate content to compile, format, and print the weekly Sunday bulletins. Assist with creating digital newsletters and updating church announcements.

·        Calendar & Facilities Management: Maintain the master church calendar online and coordinate scheduling requests for facility and building usage.

·        Membership Records: Input and track database records for the congregation, ensuring updates to contact info, member attendance, and life events (baptisms, new members, etc.) remain current.

·        Pastoral & Ministry Support: Support the Pastor, as directed and help prepare administrative materials for worship services and ministries.

Qualifications & Skills

·        Experience: 1–2+ years of prior administrative, secretarial, or front-desk experience. Experience working in a church environment or familiarity with Methodist church structures is a plus.

·        Technical Tools: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Church Management Software (REALM), digital calendars, or design tools (like Canva) is highly preferred.

·        Interpersonal Style: A professional, warm demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Discretion: Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive prayer requests, member requests, and personal details with complete confidentiality.

·        Organization: Excellent time-management skills with a self-motivated, proactive workflow.
