Coordinator, Human Resources - Entry Level Job Category : Human Resources Requisition Number : COORD002735 Employment Type : Full-Time, Non‑Exempt Salary : $19.75 per hour Location : 225 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30313, USA Direct Report : Manager, Human Resources Position Summary : The HR Coordinator is an entry‑level position that supports the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources function. The coordinator assists with HR practices, policies, and programs, contributes to a performance‑focused culture, and coordinates recruitment and onboarding activities to build a high‑quality workforce. Responsibilities Greet staff entering the HR space and direct them to the appropriate HR team member for assistance. Maintain employee files and the HR filing system, including quarterly file audits. Provide administrative support to the VP of HR, including creating presentations and assisting with special projects. Act as liaison with other departments, handling confidential and non‑routine information when necessary. Type and design general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, graphs, and plans; proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout. Manage records maintenance, scanning documents, producing copies, compiling and submitting documentation. Monitor and maintain the HR SOP manual, ensuring accuracy and updating final copies as directed. Compile and distribute notes for HR meetings. Track regulatory changes and make recommendations for updates to forms such as I‑9, G‑4, and W‑4. Conduct verification of employment. Maintain office and departmental supplies and inventory, and make purchases as requested. Onboarding / Recruitment Oversee the entire onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth first‑day experience. Act as point of contact for new hire orientation, coordinating with all teams and verifying completion of paperwork and signatures, including I‑9 accuracy. Lead the HR portion of New Hire Orientation. Assist with part‑time recruiting and hiring, including creating job offers, posting openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and exit interviews. Support the completion of PAFs for onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding, ensuring payroll documentation is complete. Provide backup support to the Senior Benefits Specialist on benefit issues during open enrollment and termination, running reports through UltiPro for reconciliation. Run reports in UltiPro to support invoice reconciliation and benefits administration. Assist departments with safety screenings, background checks for transport, and CDL holders. Set up Lunch & Learns on 401(k), Open Enrollment, and Legal Shield with assistance from the Senior Benefits Specialist. Protect confidential and proprietary organizational information. Lead or assist with HR special projects as requested by Leadership. Attend departmental and organizational meetings as required. Maintain Fishnet 2.0, The Reef, HR Agent, and related systems. Perform other HR duties as assigned. Physical Demands & Work Environment The role requires occasional standing, walking, and sitting, use of hands for handling objects or controls, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels and typical weather conditions.
