Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility.

Special Requests: - Cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or Per Diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital within the past 12 months.

Unit Details: - 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry Unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical environment specializing in the care of acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. - Uses a primary and team nursing model. - Responsibilities include frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale; telemetry rhythm monitoring and interpretation with real-time response to changes; stroke core measure compliance, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans; medication administration using BCMA standards; and managing admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
