Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care in a variety of general surgery procedures
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
• Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Supervise and train resident physicians and medical students
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to compliance standards
• Participate in surgical rounds and provide consultation
• Respond to surgical emergencies as required
• Engage in continuous education and professional development

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Current medical board certification in general surgery
• Experience in a clinical setting as an Associate or equivalent
• Strong surgical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Valid medical license to practice in the state
• Level III Trauma

24-hour call coverage, 7a-7a

Required Procedures: Standard general surgery trauma procedures

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible 

Additional Required Certifications: ATLS & DEA

Paid travel & expenses
