Shipping Administrator
Pay: $16.00–$18.00/hr (BOE) Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Worksite: On-site in Morrow, GA
Position Summary
The Shipping Administrator manages the flow of materials delivered to customers by coordinating "pick tickets" before and after deliveries, maintaining accurate shipping/receiving documentation, and supporting customer communication related to shipment status. This role helps ensure all incoming and outgoing materials move on time and in alignment with scheduling and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of deliveries to customers through the processing and tracking of pick tickets (pre- and post-delivery).
- Create and maintain a master delivery schedule to establish delivery sequence and lead times, meeting ship dates based on sales forecasts and/or customer orders.
- Coordinate with sales coordinators to confirm the status of scheduled projects and shipments.
- Prepare shipping and receiving documents and maintain appropriate records/documentation.
- Respond to customer phone inquiries regarding delivery status and shipment timing.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of incoming and outgoing supplies and materials.
- Support general administrative tasks related to shipping/receiving as needed.
Qualifications (Recommended)
- 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving administration, logistics coordination, or warehouse office support.
- Comfortable working with pick tickets , shipping paperwork, and basic tracking documentation.
- Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette (customer-facing).
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills.
- Proficient with basic computer systems (email, data entry; WMS/ERP experience is a plus).
Working Conditions
- Warehouse/office environment; on-site role.
- May require occasional time on the warehouse floor to verify paperwork, shipments, or staging.
