Overview
We're looking for a dependable Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works efficiently, and helps set the kitchen up for a smooth, successful service every day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients (chopping, portioning, marinating, etc.) according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Stock and organize stations with prepped items before service.
- Label, date, and rotate stored food properly (FIFO) to maintain freshness.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines consistently to control quality and cost.
- Operate kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, food processors, etc.) safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area throughout the shift.
- Work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure stations are fully stocked and ready during service.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
- Basic knife skills and comfort following recipes and portioning guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized, especially during busy prep periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
