Quality Control Supervisor

Supervise and provide daily direction to QC Technicians and the QC Lead assigned to the shift. Manage staffing, workload distribution, priorities, shift coverage, and daily QC execution. Maintain a strong and visible Quality presence on the manufacturing floor . Provide real-time Quality support to manufacturing and production personnel during assigned shifts. Ensure inspection, testing, documentation, and product acceptance activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Serve as the primary Quality point of contact for off-shift manufacturing activities. Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Design Engineering to identify and resolve quality issues. Support troubleshooting of manufacturing and product-quality problems directly on the production floor. Review nonconforming material and support appropriate containment and disposition activities. Lead or support investigations related to product defects, process failures, inspection issues, and manufacturing nonconformances. Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Ensure appropriate containment actions are implemented promptly when quality issues are identified. Monitor manufacturing processes for adherence to approved procedures, specifications, drawings, and quality requirements. Ensure QC technicians consistently follow approved inspection methods, work instructions, procedures, and documentation requirements. Review completed inspection records and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness. Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities as applicable. Escalate significant quality concerns to Quality and Operations leadership when required. Participate in daily production meetings, shift handoffs, quality reviews, and issue-resolution discussions. Ensure effective communication between incoming and outgoing Quality teams during shift transitions. Track open quality issues, containment actions, investigations, and corrective actions through closure. Required Qualifications 6+ years of professional Quality / Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience as a QC Supervisor, Quality Supervisor, Quality Lead, Quality Control Lead, Manufacturing Quality Supervisor , or similar role. Demonstrated experience directly supervising QC technicians, inspectors, analysts, leads, or other Quality personnel . Strong hands-on experience supporting Quality activities directly on a manufacturing or production floor. Experience working closely with Operations and Engineering teams to resolve production-quality issues. Manufacturing quality controls Experience reviewing and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, and inspection requirements. Ability to make timely Quality decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Quality personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently during off shifts with limited senior-management presence. Must be comfortable spending significant time on the manufacturing floor .
