Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (State-specific or reciprocal eligibility)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Experience with IEP development, modification, and implementation
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Adaptability and creativity in developing instructional strategies
• Previous experience working in a K-12 school environment is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities
• Develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate records documenting students’ progress and achievements
• Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary team members, and administrators to promote inclusive practices
• Create a supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered
• Implement effective classroom management and behavior intervention plans
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices
