Primary qualifications and experience desired:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience with K-2 caseloads strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset to work with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families

Core responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
• Differentiating lessons to address a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Managing a self-contained classroom of K-2 students
• Tracking and reporting student progress in compliance with district and state standards
• Collaborating regularly with colleagues, specialists, and families to support student success
• Adapting strategies and materials to meet the unique needs of students
• Creating a safe, positive, and adaptive learning environment
